BoSho 2018 had great weather, if challenging trail conditions in places. An impressive 118 runners finished the marathon-length course (or more). No course records fell, but after accounting for disqualifications under newly established drug testing protocols, three runners achieved times under 4 hours. Quincy O'Connor, Nick Sourlos, and Collin Anderson filled the men's podium and made it look easy. The Australian contingent was able to do what it could not accomplish at the Boston Marathon this year by taking the top of the women's podium, with Emily Sullivan finishing just 20 seconds over 5 hours and making it look easy. Jennilyn Eaton and Nicole Rasmussen redeemed the Stars and Stripes by taking second and third. Ruby, expertly guided by Payton Schiff, easily captured the canine category win, but not the course record.
Many thanks to volunteers John, Brian, Bob, Dave, Carter, and RunnerDee who make this possible year after year. We look forward to seeing you for the 20th edition in 2019.
