BoSho 2015

The oldest and most prestigious April marathon in Salt Lake City had its 16th running this year. The October 2008 edition of Trail Runner Magazine featured an article on Karl Meltzer. On the list of his impressive and outstanding accomplishments were his four wins at the BoSho. Yes, it is that prestigious. More humans have walked on the moon than have finished the course in under 4 hours.

The protest/appeals period is now closed, and final results are posted below. Overall, it would be hard to imagine better course conditions. Impressive turns by Dom Layfield and Bethany Lewis capped the day's events. Several times might have been faster but for a rogue hiker who moved flags at the top of the west loop above City Creek, sending several runners down a bushwack before deciding to turn back and find the trail.

None of this happens without the help of aid station volunteers and course markers. Many thanks to the following:

  Olaf Questereit
  Roxanne Sisson
  Dave Moore
  Deanna McLaughlin
  Brian Kamm
  Bob Adler
  Carter Williams
  Tony DeArcos

And thanks to everybody who came out to run on a beautiful April morning, and thank you for your aid station donations. See you at Grandeur Peak, Pie-n-Beer, Mill Creek 50k, and more.
