Grandeur Peak Fun Run

Two things. First, to be well rounded, you should be schooled in the classics. Second, if somebody calls something a "fun run," expect to suffer. The Grandeur Peak Fun Run is a classic, and it leads to suffering. Here are the results from the 2021 version, run in essentially perfect conditions. Thanks to Erik and Greg for hosting another great event. It was terrific to see people hanging out, eating, and generally having a good time again.

BoSho 2021

The 22nd running of the world's oldest, most prestigious, continuously run trail marathon. 

April 10, 2020, and sundry other dates.

Thanks to everyone for coming out on a beautiful, sunny Saturday in April. Prize money and medals are in the mail. Trail and water tank construction at various points on the classic course caused (hopefully temporary) reroutes on both ends of the course. With luck and a little planning, Meridian Peak will make its return in 2022. A slightly reduced field enjoyed perfect weather and trail conditions, which made for a number of impressive performances. Three women finished in under 5 hours. Eleven runners overall finished in under five hours, and it could have been an even dozen if not for Emerson Mann's remarkable integrity. I believe I might have rounded that number down.

Thanks as always to the great crew that makes it possible: Bob, Brian, Carter, Dan, Dee, John, and Darcy Gorman who, through a chance meeting on the trail the day after, de-flagged two stretches of trail.
