2017 BoSho Results Correction
DOH! It turns out Amier Maxwell is better known to her friends as Amiee Maxwell. She finished third on the women's side in 5:27 and change. (In our defense, the chilly morning made handwriting a little hard to decipher, and the photo of Emanuel Lewis associated with the gmail account may have further confused event administrators! We apologize for the inconvenience and hope our chip timing system will be functioning properly next year.) Hope to see many of you at Grandeur Peak.

Records are made to be broken, and we had a record number of participants, record number of finishers, and new men's course record. Noah Brautigam turned in an impressive 3:38 finish, knocking 10 minutes off of Karl Meltzer's prior course record. Karl's win at Zane Grey probably took some of the sting out of seeing that record fall. Perfect weather and course conditions certainly helped Noah pull off his great result. Quincy O'Connor and Andy Chrysler finished under 4 hours to round out the top three men.Emily Sullivan was the first woman across the line in 4:47. Great comeback and great run. She always makes it look easy. Tasha Wooley was second in 5:05, while Suky Stewart edged Suzanne Lewis for the final podium spot. Once again, the million dollar prize for setting a marathon world record time went unclaimed.
Thanks to everybody who helped out-Tony De'Arcos (making his final appearance at BoSho before moving to AZ), Dave Hunt, Carter Williams, David Hayes, Brian, Bob, John, Dan, everyone else who pitched in, and all of you who showed up for the run.
All times, distances, and places are approximate. If that rankles, you may be in the wrong sport; you are definitely in the wrong event.
See you next year for the 19th running!
